It may still be summer, but Disney is already looking ahead to the Christmas season. This is one of the nicest times to visit Walt Disney World and that’s because of the decorations and different experiences offered.
One of those experiences is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. This is a festive party that gets everyone in the Christmas spirit. The party is a separate ticket, so the crowds tend to be a little less than during a regular park day. There’s also a special parade, special character meet and greets, special fireworks, food and drink offerings specific to the part, free treats, and more.
Some of the character meet and greets include special guests in their holiday outfits. Some of those characters include Anna and Elsa in their Christmas outfits (meeting at Princess Fairytale Hall), Sally and Santa Jack (meeting at Town Square Theater), and Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their holiday outfits (meeting at Town Square Theater). Of course, these are not the only characters that will be there, these are just the ones that Disney has announced.
Another fun feature of the party is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade. This is such a cute parade and a favorite among a lot of Disney guests. Guests will see dancing gingerbread men, ballroom dancers, the classic marching toy soldiers, all combined with upbeat holiday music and scents that will help to put everyone in that holiday spirit. At the end of the parade guests will see Santa wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
What’s a Disney party without fireworks? Guests are treated to a viewing of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks each night during the party. This fireworks show combines classic Christmas songs, like “Deck the Halls” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” with pyrotechnics, castle projections, and lighting effects. The projections on the castle are pretty entertaining to see, so I recommend getting a good view spot of the front of the castle.
