Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but this one was difficult to pinpoint.
The rug is located in the hallway at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The hidden Mickey is meant to be part of a bubble stream on the carpet and it’s one of the many hidden Mickeys that can be found at the Disney World Resort hotels. Each hotel has fun hidden Mickeys as part of the hotel decor, so it’s always fun to take some time to explore the resort and look for them.
The Beach Club is next to its sister resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Both hotels share the same pool, but the pool is the most popular one on property. Guests staying at either resort can visit Stormalong Bay, the resorts’ main pool, and it’s like a mini waterpark. The pool has a beach area with a sand bottom pool, there’s a lazy river, a shipwreck water slide, 3 whirlpool spas, and an elevated tanning deck.
Location is another bonus for those staying at the Beach Club Resort. Guests can walk or take the Friendship Boats to the BoardWalk area, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and the Swan and Dolphin resorts. There’s also a Skyliner station located at the back entrance of EPCOT, so guest can walk there and take the Skyliner to another stop. For Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the waterparks, there are bus stops at the front of the resort.
The Beach Club Resort also has some great dining options at the resort and some that are a quick walk or boat ride away.

Dining in the BoardWalk Area
- Trattoria al
- Big River Grille & Brewing Works
- BoardWalk Bakery
- Pizza Window
- BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas
- Flying Fish
- Belle Vue Lounge
- Funnel Cake Cart
- The To-Go Cart
- ESPN Club
Keep in mind that some of these dining options might be temporarily unavailable, but hopefully they will all be up and running again soon.
In addition to dining and location, there’s also shopping and entertainment options in that area. All the hotels have gift shops, but the BoardWalk area has a few different shops to visit. And entertainment like Jellyrolls is a fun experience to check out at night.
The EPCOT area is one of our favorite places to stay. The proximity to EPCOT is nice and there’s a good deal of things to see and do in that area. So if you stay in any of the resorts around Crescent Lake make sure to explore it all.
Thanks to everyone who played along this week! Another picture will be up soon. What’s your favorite thing to see in the EPCOT resort area?
