As usual, Disney will be celebrating Earth Day in Animal Kingdom, but this year’s celebration is extra special. Not only is it the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the 25th anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund, but both anniversaries happen on the same day!
The Animation Experience is where guests can learn to draw different Disney characters. When I went we drew Simba and my drawing actually looked like Simba! If you had seen other drawings I’ve done you’d understand why the end result was exciting.
The Tree of Life Awakenings happen every night at Animal Kingdom. It’s a show that is projected onto the Tree of Life.
Rafiki’s Planet Watch in Animal Kingdom has been closed for a while now, but Disney has announced an opening date for this area. It had closed down for some refurbishment, so it will be interesting to see what changes were made.
This weekend a couple of new shows will debut in Animal Kingdom. One is an updated version of an existing show and the other is a celebration of a soon-to-be-released movie.
“Rivers of Light” is Animal Kingdom’s nighttime show that has been around for more than two years now. It’s a beautiful show and this May it will be getting an update.
Disney is always coming up with new experiences for guests to try during their trip. The newest experience will take guests on a train ride in Animal Kingdom.
There was a question when Rafiki’s Planet Watch first closed as to whether or not it would be reopening, which upset some guests. So there was certainly some welcome news today as Disney announced it will be reopening this summer.
Exciting news out of Animal Kingdom this morning! Not long ago Disney announced that Kevin from “Up!” would be showing up in Animal Kingdom soon and it seems that time is now.
Last year, the Flights of Wonder show in Animal Kingdom was reimagined to a new show starring Russell and Dug from “Up!” Now, in addition to the new show another friend from “Up!” will be heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
