We had our first experience with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique during our last trip to Disney World. Our daughter was very excited for this experience and I was excited to see the new space!
The location in Disney Springs opened almost 2 years ago, so it’s still relatively new to guests. You can find the boutique next to The Void (near Once Upon a Toy) and across from The Earl of Sandwich. You can’t miss the store front with all the different princess dresses in the window.
There will be a Fairy Godmother in Training waiting at the door to help and point you to the check in area. When you get to the check in podium you will be asked which package your child would like. There are a number of different packages available and they will give you a pamphlet with a description of each package. Our daughter chose the Elsa Frozen Package, which cost $194 and change after tax. There is also an Anna Frozen Package and both packages come with a plush Olaf.
After you have made your choice you will be asked to wait in the waiting area. Make sure to look around, because there are quite a few fun details in that first waiting area. There are some seats, but the waiting area itself isn’t huge and can fill up quickly if families with a lot of people are waiting.
Once it is your turn you will be brought to a changing room, this is why they ask guests to bring the dress to change into there. When you open the door you will see the dress hanging up. After the Fairy Godmother in Training leaves the dressing room, some magic happens. The lights in the room dim and the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella appears in the mirror! This was so cute and our daughter absolutely loved it!
After the Fairy Godmother finishes, it’s time for the princess to put on her dress. While you are in the dressing room, make sure to look around. There are a lot of details and it’s a really nice room. It definitely gives off a royal feeling!
Once the child is dressed, they press a button that lets the Fairy Godmother in Training know they are ready. You are then led to another waiting area. Again, there are a lot of details in this waiting are so make sure to look all around.
The next area is where the kids get their hair, makeup, and nails done. There is seating all around where family members can sit and watch the transformation. The mirrors by the area where the kids sit are pretty big and on top is a Cinderella coach decoration.
Our Fairy Godmother in Training was Kelsey and she was awesome. She did such a great job and our daughter had so much fun! At the end of the transformation the Fairy Godmother in Training sprinkles pixie dust in the child’s hair with a wand and says “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. May all your princess dreams and wishes come true!”
After the transformation, the family is brought to another room for some pictures in front of Cinderella’s coach. The pictures are taken by a PhotoPass Photographer, so if you purchased the Memory Maker the pictures will be included. It’s a fun little photo shoot and I love that it’s included in the Memory Maker!
This was a really fun experience for our daughter and for us. We loved seeing her face light up during this process and she felt so special. I loved looking at all the details, but I think my favorite part was the Fairy Godmother appearing in the mirror in the dressing room. That was pretty cool!
I think if we do this again, we’ll probably go for one of the less expensive packages. If you get a package that does not include the dress it brings the cost down, so it’s nice that they have different packages available.
Both the Magic Kingdom location (located in Cinderella Castle) and the Disney Springs location book up fast. You can make reservations 180 days from your arrival date (the same day as dining reservations open), so don’t wait to make a reservation, especially if you want a reservation for the castle location.
I definitely recommend doing this at least once, if you have a child who is interested. It’s a fun experience for both the child and the adults! Now, if only they had a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for adults!
Have you been to the Disney Springs location? What did you think?
