This week’s ears in the spotlight are very cute and perfect for the winter season.
This snowman baseball cap doesn’t technically have ears, but it is wearing its own little Mickey ear hat. So adorable! There’s quite a bit going on with this hat, but it all works together to make a very festive hat.
The ear hat on this baseball cap is simple, but looks like the bigger versions guests can get in the parks. The hat is mostly black with a red band around the bottom. There is a patch on the front of the hat that has the castle on it and on the back it says “There’s Snow Place Like” (underneath the Mickey hat is says “Walt Disney World” to finish the sentence on the Mickey hat). The ears on this little hat are the same plastic material you will find on the bigger versions in the parks.
The front of the baseball cap has the snowman face on it, including the carrot nose sticking out from the cap. There are little lights in the eyes and the mouth that blink when it’s turned on. The battery pack with the switch for the lights is on the inside of the cap. There’s also a scarf that wraps around the front of the cap to the back and has a little hanging down on the side.
On the side of the cap are two “stick” arms for the snowman, which sort of take the place of the ears on this cap. The arms are soft and can bend since they are made of fabric. Another fun feature of this cap is the softness of it. The entire cap is covered in a white, very soft, material.
The back of the cap has a velcro closure, so it can be adjusted as needed. Also, as I said above, there is a batter pack on the inside of the cap for the lights. The pocket for the battery pack is behind the tag and it can be pulled out to change the battery or turn the lights on and off.
When I checked shopDisney.com it said they were sold out. I’m not sure if that means they are completely gone or if more will become available at some point. Otherwise, the parks might be the only place left to find these.
